Street Food Birmingham

Street food is prepared or cooked food typically sold by street vendors in a public location for immediate consumption. This ready-to-eat food has really taken off in recent years, particularly in cities and at festivals and events. The reason this type of food has grown so popular is because it tends to be cheaper than restaurant food and is perfect if you’re busy and need a quick, tasty bite to eat. In this article we explore some of the best Street Food Birmingham has to offer.

The Indian Streatery

One of our favourite places to get street food Birmingham has to be the Indian Streatery, home to a family of foodies who started as street food vendors nearly 6 years ago. After working the street food scene of Birmingham and around the UK and becoming firm favourites at Digbeth Dining club, the Indian Streatery was born. This restaurant serves up a traditionally authentic menu which sticks to its street food roots by day and transforms to a sleek indian by night.

Baked in Brick

Winner of ‘The Best Street Food Trader’ at both the British and European awards is Baked In Brick which has moved to a neighbourhood restaurant serving the finest pizza and street food in Digbeth. Our favourite dish from their menu is the dirty loaded fries which are simple but oh so tasty. Paired with a pint of the craft beer or delicious cocktails they have on offer, this is a solid favourite when it comes to street food Birmingham.

Vietnamese Street Kitchen

If you fancy a true taste of Vietnam then you can’t beat the Vietnamese Street Kitchen which offers authentic Vietnamese Street Food with a modern twist. It all started 40 years ago when a Vietnamese family left their native country and travelled across the world in search of a better life. Whilst the journey was long and difficult, the one thing that reminded them of their homeland was cooking which was passed down from generation to generation. Four generations of family recipes have allowed the success of the Vietnamese street kitchen which is located at the Bullring in Birmingham.
