The Old Crown
An absolute must see next time you’re in Digbeth is The Old Crown, a pub that claims to be the oldest secular building in Birmingham. It is Grade II* listed, and claims to date back to c.1368, retaining its “black and white” timber frame, although almost all of the present building dates from the early 16th century. This pub has stood the test of time and is definitely worth a visit. There is a huge beer garden making it a hot spot on warm summer nights but this pub is busy all year round with its quality craft beers and delicious pub grub.
Dead Wax
If you love live music then there is no better place than Dead Wax, one of our favourite Digbeth bars, known for celebrating the vibrant local creative scene. So, if you like your beer, whether you’re looking for lager, a spiky and tropical IPA or something a little darker – Dead Wax has got you covered. The music policy is pretty simple; all vinyl, all the time. During the day, staff will be spinning a choice of tunes from the 4,000 vinyl strong collection. If you get peckish, Dead Wax also serves up some tasty stone baked pizzas too.
Birdies
If you fancy an escape from the city then we recommend visiting the tropical haven that is Birdies, located in the custard factory bringing a taste of warmer climates to Digbeth. Birdies offers tasty cocktails and beers along with some of the best street food you’ll find in Birmingham, all while watching some vibey live music. No need to book this bar, simply turn up and have fun.
Crazy Pedros
Another one of the best Digbeth bars has to be Crazy Pedro’s located at the Custard Factory. This bar is for the tequila lovers with a number of tequila based tasty cocktails- our favourite is the Twister frozen margz. This bar is great for dates, drinks with friends or anyone who loves Pizza and cocktails paired with some banging tunes. The vibes at Crazy Pedros are always immaculate, see it for yourself.
